LIVE VISUALS

Documentation of visual experimentation; multi-sensory responsive projections

My design practice has evolved consistently over the years towards immediacy. The dimensionality first presented by working in 3D animation has remained potent and empowering, but I’ve also never lost affinity for working two dimensionally - particularly how individual pixels can be blended much like brush strokes. This idea of creating 3d spaces that can be selectively blended and smeared together by real-time inputs has guided this process of experimentation. Methods used include video displacement, animated vector fields, painterly feedback systems, and complex parameterization to link visual effects to live audio.

The results here are layered systems of many nodes that toe the line between procedural and curated.
