Silvana Estrada, formerly the debut artist of musical non-profit 30 Amp Circuit, is a musician, vocalist and songwriter from Xalapa, Mexico. Her original compositions reference a mixture of Latin American sounds and the Son Jarocho tradition of the Mexican Southeast.
After recording her first album "Lo Sagrado" with musician Charlie Hunter, the two planned to go on tour in the US together in the fall of 2017. However, Silvana needed a visa to participate, and was unfortunately denied after her first application. After I was commissioned by 30 amp to help create promotional materials for the tour and conceptualize a gofundme campaign, Silvana's Visa application was denied a second time.
It is incredibly unfortunate that Silvana has not been able to tour in the states, but her population in Mexico has exploded and her music is already reaching huge audiences. Her unique style, poetic lyrics, and beautiful melodies continue to charm listeners all over the world.
